New World Dynasty Mutation M3: Walkthrough & Tips
Weekly Mutator Effects
· Ice Mutation: Expect mobs to apply slow, root, and frost-based AoE attacks. Ice damage reduction is a plus.
· Weary: Increased stamina usage. Manage your dodges carefully.
· Blood Offering: Mobs steal health on hit. Avoid unnecessary damage intake and use healing debuffs if possible.
Dungeon Breakdown by Encounter
Main Pool: Focus Fire on the Musket
· DPS Priority: Always target the musket user first. He’ll often leap back and use grit moves—if he targets your healer, it’s game over.
· The tank should grab aggro on the melee mobs immediately—don’t worry about them at first.
· Eliminate the musket to protect your healer. Then turn and burn the rest.
Toughest Pull: Crawler Swarm
· This is the hardest pull in Dynasty M3.
· Tank Tips:
o Time your taunt and block when the crawlers jump in.
o Try to stagger or CC the crawlers with Shockwave or Maelstrom.
· DPS Tips:
o If someone is running flail, use it to break root effects.
o Avoid CC spamming—since recent updates, bosses/mobs get CC immunity after ~3 hits with a 4-second cooldown.
Optional Skips
· After grabbing the shrine, hug the left wall and skip the dangerous spearman near camp.
· Spearmen hit hard and use backflip attacks that can wipe a group fast. Skip unless necessary.
Named Spearman Pull
· Use 2 Great Axes if possible.
· Set up Grab Wells and Maelstrom to contain mobs.
· Flail > Oblivion here for utility—breaking roots is more important than minor DPS gains.
· Watch potion cooldowns carefully; regen potions may be on cooldown due to mutator nerfs, so rotate your healing options wisely.
Barrel and Fireworks Phase
· Place the barrels, grab the Orichalcum and flower gatherables, then light the fireworks at the podium.
· Be cautious of the mini-boss lady—her dragon attack animation is hard to see. When she starts spinning her arms and goes still, double dodge to avoid the dragon AoE.
· Shockwave doesn’t cancel the dragon animation anymore due to CC immunity—time your dodges!
The Trio Pull: Knight + 2 Ladies
· Stack in Sacred Ground if you’re the healer—this room punishes poor positioning.
· Grabwell placement is key—drop it in the center.
· Take out the ladies first, especially the one shooting the straight-line dragon.
· Save the swordsman for last. Watch for flourish and finish mishaps that might put you in his cleave path.
Boss Fight: Elemental Weakness
· The main boss is vulnerable to elemental damage.
· Stack Rend, Weaken, and Roots as much as you can.
· Watch for his backing-up behavior—it makes hitboxes weird.
· Dodge early, especially if playing with high ping.
Post-Shrine Pathing
· Take the boat route—not the road or right path.
· Tank pulls named + dog, DPS handles musket (ideal: Evade Raper).
· Keep an eye on line of sight (LoS)—healers should kite around boxes to avoid musket shots.
First Barrel Defense Phase
· 3 waves of enemies:
o First two waves: Kill mobs before they hit the barrel.
o Third wave: Just aggro and kite—don’t let Ice Pylon pull aggro away or they’ll hit the barrel.
· Pylon + Ice Wall Combo: Reduces cooldowns and forms a barrier for the barrel.
· Maelstrom + Hammer are great for this wave.
Second Barrel Phase
· Aggro from the third wave carries over but ends on a timer.
· Set up positioning carefully—don’t pull the musket guy down the bridge.
· Let the tank group mobs; DPS should control their aggro.
· Use Grab Wells and Ice Gauntlet to control enemies.
Final Barrel Phase Setup
· Two Great Axes + 1 Ice Gauntlet recommended.
· Form a U-shape Ice Wall around the barrel.
· Let Grab Wells cluster the mobs and burst them down.
Gear Recommendations
· Flail Users: Essential in Ice Mutation weeks to cleanse roots and control CC.
· Purifying Toast Earrings: For extra cleansing support.
· Void Gauntlet (VG): Great for healers—Scream helps root stretchers and gives control.
· Elemental Gems: Stack elemental damage for boss fights and elites.
Pro Tips
· Don’t Over-CC bosses—new CC immunity makes this a trap.
· Line-of-sight is your best friend for avoiding musket aggro on healers.
· Save your cooldowns for grouped pulls—don’t blow them on single mobs.
· Use Grab Well, Maelstrom, and Ice Wall in tandem to contain mobs and protect objectives.
Final Thoughts
Dynasty M3 Ice Week is all about control, awareness, and protecting your healer. Prioritize musket enemies, avoid excessive CC, and use flail to handle the mutation’s root-heavy mechanics. If everyone plays their role and communicates, this dungeon becomes manageable—even fun.
