EO Soulfist Crippling Barrier/Energy Blast question
My EO SF alt is at 1415. I'm looking at increasing her to 1445 after I have my main deck out (missing one grudge book as well as some deathblow books)
A majority of guides today suggest Crippling Barrier as well as Energy Blast over Tempest Blast and Shadowbreaker (which is the spell I'm playing right now) However, I'm not sure if the cooldowns of the two spells are too long, which leads to an excessive amount of time spent in ad-hoc mode.
I'm currently playing 1458 swift now , with all legendary accs and five gems at level 5 (necklace quality is less than I was hoping for). Should wait until I receive only a couple of parts of the relic set to CD reduction and then switch to relic accs using more swift prior to switching or take on the more lengthy cooldowns?
Energy blast is a superior alternative to tempest blast absolutely. In trixion, even when dominion is set with 1620 speed and lvl7 gems cooldown isn't able to match the other spells, however in a real raiding, the delay of a half second will be compensated by mechs so there's no need to worry. The stagger as well as push immunity are nice and definitely better than the tempest's weak point lvl2.
Tempest however was very well aligned even when using a lvl5 CD gem. The dmg also was good even using the obligatory charge tripod. It's still a struggle to incorporate EB into my rotation, but it's worth the effort.
Shadowbreaker and Crippling Barrier is an issue of personal preference.
Shadow is too useful in a single spell to leave in my opinion, and the absence the super armor worth the effort so I decided to keep it. The execution damage is quite high once the boss is below 40% HP.
Barrier requires both damaging tripods and the damage to be in good condition to cause decent damage, but it also has par. immunity. It is also able to be used as a filler until ready attack buff ends to deal extremely high dps without other alternatives.
It's ultimately your decision since most spells can be used interchangeably.
